This painting is based on a photo I took of my daughter under a tree, covered by leaves and branches, next to the lake. The intention was to make the person disappear into the branches, and I was going back and forth covering and uncovering the figure and the face. The figure could be either female or male or both. The face has a resemblance to Oscar Wilde, which happened unintentionally, and came as a pleasant surprise.
