This is a very detailed Sumi ink, acrylic, oil and collage painting on watercolor paper. It is vaguely reminiscent of the Little Red Riding Hood lost in the forest, aware and not aware of the dangers that might await her. This painting evokes hidden dangers of childhood and puberty. It has something in common with Max Ernst's piece Spanish Physician. Every girl and woman experiences these moments of taking risks while being aware of the danger that surrounds her. It is one of the archetypes that women encounter over and over again.
Limited edition Giclee prints of this piece are available.
