2019-2021 ART
This small painting is based on the experience of Wasserman's trip to Eastern Europe in the summer of 2019. She took many trains, and photographed people riding those trains. Here the artist blends the interior of the train with the landscapes that float by while riding this particular train from Riga to the beaches of Jurmala. The result is reality blended with fantasy or reality changed by emotions.
Wasserman was born and spent her childhood in that part of the world.
The painting is charged with memories, feelings, and nostalgia.
